Shades of Mortality tweaks for Tuxborn
With the next release of Tuxborn we’ll be adding in some extra changes to this mod that’ll make it easier to cure its Death’s Grip debuff. But until that release happens, here’s a suggested list of changes you can consider.
For the main Shades of Mortality INI file
In this file, first and foremost, I set this to deactivate the option for the mod to eat your gold when you die:
bRemoveGold = false
I set this to be a little kinder to myself and allow me to sleep anywhere to cure the debuff:
iSleepLocationDifficulty = 0
And I set this to try to strike a balance between the mod giving me free passes for “death”, and still maintaining a risk of actually rolling back to a prior save if I “die” often enough. Your mileage may vary on what that number should be, set it to whatever you like, it’s 0 by default:
iNumberOfInjuriesTillDeath = 5
This file lives in the following path in Tuxborn’s files:
/mods/Shades of Mortality - Death Alternative SKSE (Disable Together - remove all effects before hand on a running save)/SKSE/Plugins/shades-of-mortality.ini
For the keywords INI
There is a secondary INI file in Shades of Mortality that controls what things cure the Death’s Grip debuff. We’ll be adding an additional optional file in Tuxborn’s next release to let you have more options for this, but until that happens, I added some additional options you may find helpful. These lines will add four types of healing potions to the set of things that can cure the debuff:
; Potion of Plentiful Healing
keyword = CureInjury|Potion|0x3eadf|100
; Potion of Vigorous Healing
keyword = CureInjury|Potion|0x3eae3|100
; Potion of Extreme Healing
keyword = CureInjury|Potion|0x39BE4|100
; Potion of Ultimate Healing
keyword = CureInjury|Potion|0x39BE5|100
