Elder Scrolls Online,  Gyllerah Playthrough

ESO status check: Gyllerah

As of this writing, I’ve passed cp 1700 in ESO for all five of my characters. I haven’t been doing a huge amount of RP over the last several months in ESO; mostly I’ve been focused on running trials and dungeons, and doing a lot of trading. But here’s a high-level overview of where I’m at with Gyllerah, who remains my main.

Stats and builds and stuff

I’m still running a collection of six builds on Gyllerah, two for when I feel like being in stamplar/DPS mode, and four for various types of magplar. Three of those builds are for when I want to be in healer mode, and the fourth is for when I want to run training on Companions.

The build I’m using most often in trials and dungeons right now is a RoJo (Roaring Opportunist + Jorvuld’s Guidance sets) + the Spaulder of Ruin + one piece of Symphony of Blades.

I’m likely going to set her up with a subclassing healing build, too. More on this below.

Content

Gyllerah has played through these major sections of content:

  • ESO main quest
  • She’s finished the overall faction quest lines for the Aldmeri Dominion and the Ebonheart Pact, since I’m doing the full Cadwell’s Almanac with her; Daggerfall Covenant is in progress, and I’m in Bangkorai at this point, so this should be the last leg of the Daggerfall Covenant plotline
  • Gyllerah finished the Fighters Guild and Mages Guild plots as part of running the main quest; she’s not in either the Thieves Guild or the Brotherhood, and I have no plans to put her in either of those groups
  • Two of the three stages of the Daedric War plot (Clockwork City, Summerset)
  • First half of Season of the Dragon (Northern Elsweyr); Southern Elsweyr is in progress
  • First half of the Dark Heart of Skyrim (Western Skyrim); have not yet launched the second half (the Reach)
  • Gyllerah has not run either half of the Gates of Oblivion (Blackwood and the Deadlands), although I’ve run a little bit of the initial parts of the Deadlands
  • She hasn’t run either part of Legacy of the Bretons either (High Isle and Galen)
  • Gyllerah has run the first half of Secrets of Apocrypha (Necrom), and has started on the second half (West Weald)
  • She has not yet launched the new plot on Solstice

Companions

Gyllerah has all eight Companions available in the game now: Bastian, Mirri, Isobel, Ember, Azandar, Sharp-as-Night, Tanlorin, and Zerith-Var.

She’s fully completed quest lines for Bastian, Mirri, and Azandar. Everybody else’s quest lines are in progress still.

Mirri and Sharp-As-Night are both fully leveled. Still working on fully leveling everybody else.

Scribing

I’ve only done a small amount of playing around with scribing in general, and Gyllerah in particular has not finished the full Scribing quest line. She’s only done the first two parts. But given that I did finish it with Veghra, I’m not in a huge hurry to go through the rest of it with her. I may do so at some point, but since all of my characters have access to scribing anyway, it’s not critical.

I did however splurge for a scribing altar to put in one of my houses. 😀

Subclassing

Gyllerah has no official subclassed build yet, although I’ve done the brief quest to unlock that for her. And I’ve been using an extra build slot I got her just to level up skill lines so I can do subclassing on her. I’m likely to try one of the current meta for healing builds, which involves Templar + Warden + Nightblade, all of which are skill lines I can do now.

Whether I do it on Gyllerah or on my newer healer character Merithel, however, remains to be seen. Some of the new hotness for healer subclassed builds involves the Necromancer skill lines, and I do not particularly feel like making a Necromancer alt.

Houses

Gyllerah’s primary house (and, well, my primary house in general) is still Cliffshade in Marbruk. I’ve picked up several other houses recently, but that’s still the one I’m actively using, as I’m not heavily into furnishing unless I have a rare mood for it.

Mounts

Gyllerah’s primary mount is the Welkyndstone Ruins Wolf, which I got when guildmate StorybookTerror was kind enough to give me the gift of a pre-order of the Gold Road chapter!

Guilds and trading

I remain active in Swamp Haven, Alls Faire, St. Blackwood, and St. Greymoor. I still consider Swamp Haven my primary guild, as the others I’m in for access to regular traders.

Some fun things I’ve picked up via crown purchases or Seals of Endeavor

  • The Frostcaster style book, which I used to set up a second “winter” outfit for Gyllerah to wear, mostly for RP purposes for when I go to Orsinium, Skyrim, or other parts suitably north
  • Assorted hairstyles, and for Gyllerah in particular, I picked up Titanborn’s Tresses

More to come on Gyllerah again soon!
