In Which Marwyth Goes to Summerset
Now swinging back around to Marwyth in my ESO runs, and the first of her action in February of this year. This post technically covers the first full week of February, but there were only two actual sessions of action in that week, so I’m counting this as two sessions.
Jumped around through various plots: launching Marwyth’s turn with the Summerset plot, helping Mirri find her mother, moving the main questline along, doing some side questing in Clockwork City, and launching the Psijic Order quest with the Augur of the Obscure.

In Which Gyllerah Saves the Ebonheart Pact
And now, back to ESO! This post covers Gyllerah’s first week of February action, and while half of that week was a lot my doing the usual writs, surveys, crafting, and selling stuff, the actual adventuring featured finishing up the Cadwell’s Silver plotline for the Ebonheart Pact. Basically three sessions’ worth of actual action for that week.

Getting up and running on the new Steam Deck
As I reported in my previous post, I got a surprise new Steam Deck when my original one decided its battery was going to turn into a spicy danger pillow! So over the last day or so, I’ve been working on setting up the new device with all the games and playthroughs I had active on the previous one.
This post is about that, and about my overall impressions of this new Deck in general. It’s an OLED model, and yeah, there are some distinct differences between it and its predecessor.
This is not going to be a full review post. If you want an in-depth review of the OLED Steam Deck, there are plenty to choose from all over the web. As I’m a regular follower of Ars Technica, I’ll commend their review in particular to you.
What I want to talk about here instead are my overall personal impressions, what I’ve noticed so far that’s different from my original Deck, and what I had to do to get all my previous games and playthroughs back up and running.
Deets behind the fold. This’ll be a long post.

In Which Marwyth Quests for Crows
And now, time to finish out Marwyth’s action on ESO for the tail end of January.
Mostly this was a very light week for Marwyth, with just a little bit of action in side questing in the Gold Coast during the Guilds and Glory event, running the Crow’s Wood public dungeon, and a bit of side quest followup in Clockwork City. Amusingly enough, both of these involved dealing with the Blackfeather Court!
Only about three days of actual action during this range of dates, so calling this three sessions.

In Which Gyllerah Helps Azandar Chase Frayed Fates
Final January 2024 post for Gyllerah’s playthrough on ESO. This covers the final week of the month, but as with some of my other recent posts, I’m leaving out days when I just did writ work and resource harvesting and such.
Main action here: my first look at Falkreath Hold, getting the Ring of the Pale Order, and advancing the personal quest of Azandar al-Cybiades.

In Which Marwyth Saves Sotha Sil and Clockwork City
More catchup for Marwyth’s playthrough on ESO, from mid-January. Main action here: finishing off the Clockwork City plotline! That was fun!

In Which Marwyth Uncovers Plots in Clockwork City
Swinging over to Marwyth’s playthrough in ESO now, continuing my catchup on play done in mid-January. Main action here: getting my Clockwork City on!

In Which Gyllerah Seeks Bosses, Dragons, and Antiquities
Catchup post from the middle of January, when ESO ran its Guilds and Glory event. A big exciting thing involved with that was that they also ran a free trial week for ESO+, so I got in on that action and therefore got access to everything on the map. So I did a mad dash around to hit a lot of places I hadn’t been in before, including Murkmire, Fargrave, the Deadlands, Orsinium, and Southern Elsweyr.
And I did a whole bunch of farming for leads for antiquities, specifically the Ring of the Pale Order, the Ring of the Wild Hunt, and the Oakensoul Ring!

In Which Gyllerah Meets an Arcanist and Frees a Slave
Gyllerah had big action on ESO in the middle of January, so this is another somewhat shorter post, with only three sessions covered. Main action here is picking up Azandar as my third Companion, and also running the first part of Ember’s personal quest once I unlocked that.

In Which Marwyth Saves Eastmarch and Discovers a Threat to Clockwork City
This is another ESO catchup post from mid-January, this time for Marwyth’s playthrough. Major action covered here is my finishing off the Eastmarch plot arc for the Ebonheart Pact, and then kicking off the Clockwork City DLC by running that plot’s prologue.
