In Which Delga Visits the Greybeards
Whoops, I completely forgot to put up yesterday’s Skyrim post. This is for the playing I did on Tuesday, 11/2/2021.
Main point of this session was to go see the Greybeards and get their initial training on how to use Shouts, including the second word of Unrelenting Force and the first word of Whirlwind Sprint.
Also had my first encounter with Miraak cultists, and cleared Silent Moons Camp.

In Which Merawen Masters the Illusion School, and Attends a Peace Council
As of this session I am officially done with the Ritual quests for the mage college, and I have all the high-tier, baddest-assed spells in my arsenal.
Also, proceeded to the point of having the peace council between the Imperials and Stormcloaks! The main plot is back!
-
In Which Merawen Clears Treva’s Watch and Encounters the Ebony Warrior
A bit more advancement of the main plot, as I made it up to High Hrothgar to get the Greybeards’ buy off on this whole peace conference idea. But also, I cleared Treva’s Watch and got in considerable exercise of Illusion and Destruction.
And, while on the way to Windhelm to ask Ulfric to show up for the peace conference, I finally found the Ebony Warrior!

In Which Merawen Finally Fights Alduin and Also Acquires the Wabbajack
I boinged around a lot in this session, but in between all of the fast traveling, I did actually also revisit the main plot! Which meant taking the Dragon Elder Scroll up to the top of the Throat of the World, learning Dragonrend, and having the first round of fighting with Alduin.
And Alduin was only one of the dragons I fought in this session, though unlike the two Revered Dragons and the Ancient one, he actually survived the fight!
Next to that, doing the Mind of Madness quest and getting the Wabbajack from Sheogorath was a relaxing vacation. 😀

In Which Merawen Visits Paarthurnax, Repairs the White Phial, and Seeks an Elder Scroll
A fair amount of plot action in this as I moved the main plot along, but also finished up the quest about the White Phial. And a lot of this was familiar territory–but not all of it!
Details as always behind the fold.

In Which Merawen Learns Who Took the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller
This was another very eventful session, with a lot of bouncing around between various locations, and some moving along of the main plot as well. Main-plot-wise, I’m to the point of having the Thalmor Embassy as the next major thing to do. Side-plot-wise, I got Dawnbreaker! And spent enough time in Whiterun that it felt a lot like an Alarrah session, really.
Which just goes to show that I need to get back to the Thieves Guild. Muahaha.
-
In Which Merawen Flees to Riften
This session pretty much amounted to doing the rest of the preliminary work to get Merawen established enough as Dragonborn that I could get to the point of failing to find the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller… and then bailing to Riften.
Highlights and commentary and such behind the fold!

In Which Merawen Discovers Her Power
It’s a little odd being on a low level character again so soon after defeating Miraak and finishing up with a character at level 62. I have to remind myself that I can no longer do certain things I’d gotten used to while playing Alarrah!
-
In Which the Dragonborn Hunts for Dragon Priests
This session was all about trying to find the remaining ones of the original set of dragon priest masks in the game, since I had five and was still lacking three. (I know there are more on Solstheim, but for purposes of this hunt, I was focusing just on the original game’s eight.)
At the same time, I also wanted more Shout words. Fortunately, I could handle both of these searches at once!

In Which the Dragonborn Defeats Alduin
This is not my last Skyrim post—this is only the one in which I finish the main plot, and there is still the DLC stuff to play through, for Dawnguard and Dragonborn. Plus, chances of a second playthrough are high, as there’s still a lot of stuff in the game I haven’t done yet, just because I didn’t feel like those quests quite fit with this character as I played her.
But this is the one in which Alarrah does defeat the World-Eater, Alduin, and as such it’s definitely a milestone!
Details and screencaps behind the fold!
