In Which Merawen Gains Final Training in Alteration and Conjuration
In this session, all this work I’ve been doing on general adventuring and crafting has started to pay off. I made it to level 80, and I did two of the five ritual quests for the mage college–the ones for the Alteration and Conjuration schools.
Also, I fought and killed my first Legendary Dragon!

In Which Merawen Does Yet More General Adventuring and Crafting
Very, very low-key session. Still in the midst of the push to get to level 80, and to get my magic skills up to 90/100.
-
In Which Merawen Continues General Adventuring
Very low-key session in which I did only a little actual adventuring, really—and a lot of crafting to work on leveling up.
-
In Which Merawen Explores Yngol’s Barrow and Narzulbur
Another “general adventuring” type session! Details behind the fold.
-
In Which Merawen Acquires the Spellbreaker Shield
This session was mostly all about running the quest called The Only Cure, which is the Daedric quest for the Spellbreaker shield, the reward given you by Peryite. More on this, and other action, behind the fold!
-
In Which Merawen Foils a Conspiracy and Escapes Cidhna Mine
Most of the action of this session was just general adventuring and crafting—up to the part where I got back to Markarth, and ran the Forsworn Conspiracy/No One Escapes Cidhna Mine! plot again.

In Which Merawen Finally Fights Alduin and Also Acquires the Wabbajack
I boinged around a lot in this session, but in between all of the fast traveling, I did actually also revisit the main plot! Which meant taking the Dragon Elder Scroll up to the top of the Throat of the World, learning Dragonrend, and having the first round of fighting with Alduin.
And Alduin was only one of the dragons I fought in this session, though unlike the two Revered Dragons and the Ancient one, he actually survived the fight!
Next to that, doing the Mind of Madness quest and getting the Wabbajack from Sheogorath was a relaxing vacation. 😀

In Which Merawen Recovers a Ghost’s Sword and Goes to Volunruud
Another “general adventuring” kind of session, with the two main points being finishing the quest to get the sword for the ghost in the Old Hroldan Inn, and then going to Volunruud and getting what I’m pretty sure is my last available Shout word off a Word Wall.
-
In Which Merawen Battles the Chicken Necromancer
This was another “wander the land” session, doing what Paul tells me he calls “general adventuring”. The idea here being, wander around and see if something interesting happens!
And in this session’s wandering, I encountered what’s possibly the most delightful NPC encounter in all of Skyrim I’ve had to date!

In Which Merawen Battles Pirates and Explores the Land
This session was yet more “let’s see if Anna can find more new things to do before she has to commit to finishing up the main plot” action! Answer: yes, yes I could find more things to do.
Main action of this session was the Rise in the East plot in Windhelm, but I also explored three areas that were new to me, Yorgrim Overlook, an Abandoned Prison and a cavern system called Darkshade.
And, got in plenty of crafting and magic practice!
