In Which Delga Battles a Dragon and Bandits, and Seeks Azura’s Star
This is a double session post, covering play done on Friday the 19th and Saturday the 20th! Doubling up because Friday’s was a short session, and I was too busy on Saturday trying to plow through my gigantic email backlog to do a Skyrim post. So y’all are getting both sessions in this combined post!
Major highlights: running the Volunruud dungeon to get the Shout word there; beginning the quest to get Azura’s Star; and killing a dragon with Farkas. In theory.

In Which Delga Becomes Harbinger of the Companions
Short but narratively important session that saw the conclusion of the main Companions plotline, wherein I got to cure the spirit of Kodlak of his lycanthropy, and get proclaimed the new Harbinger of the Companions. Go me!
-
In Which Delga Acquires the White Phial and Joins the Bards College
Pretty busy session this time too, all familiar territory, but stuff I wanted to get done. Particularly the getting into the Bards College, just so I could get to the part where I get all the skill bumps!
-
In Which Merawen Masters the Illusion School, and Attends a Peace Council
As of this session I am officially done with the Ritual quests for the mage college, and I have all the high-tier, baddest-assed spells in my arsenal.
Also, proceeded to the point of having the peace council between the Imperials and Stormcloaks! The main plot is back!

In Which Merawen Finally Returns at Least a Bit to the Main Plot
As of this session I found myself growing a bit weary of tromping around throwing a bunch of Illusion and Destruction spells around, and looking for excuses to pick fights with bandits and/or Falmer. So in between doing all of that, I did finally go to Dragonsreach in Whiterun, and get the Jarl to agree to help me trap a dragon—if I could do something about this war thing going on.
-
In Which Merawen Explores North of Windstad and South of Riften
Another low-key session as I continue to look for remaining things I can do before I finish out the main plot. Main action of this run was going to High Gate Ruins for the quest called A Scroll for Anska, but I also got in some exploration along the northeastern coast of the Sea of Ghosts, and found some spots I hadn’t found before!
And I reset my Smithing, and did a boatload of creation of things and purchasing of training to work on building it back up.
-
In Which Merawen Finds the White Phial, and Thieves Her Way Through Riften and Markarth
This session was all about the thievery, but with a side helping of doing the first part of the White Phial quest. I’ve finally done all the necessary side jobs in Markarth to trigger that city’s special Thieves Guild quest!
And I found a second item of the dragonscale armor set. \0/
-
In Which Merawen Gains Solitude for the Guild and Saves Esbern from the Thalmor
This session’s primary highlights were opening up Solitude for the Thieves Guild, after running the Dainty Sload plot—and then saving Esbern from the Thalmor, as I finally returned to the main plot and moved that along some more. I’m about to hit level 46, so it’s a good time to go get Dragonbane at Alduin’s Wall!
-
In Which Merawen Buys Proudspire Manor and Becomes Thane of Haafingar
The main achievements of this session were buying Proudspire Manor and becoming thane of Haafingar–and at the same time, finishing up the necessary number of side jobs in Whiterun to trigger the special reputation job for the Thieves Guild there.
And, a large side helping of other minor quests, including getting a new Shout word, helping out Arniel at the mage college some more, taking out another Dragon Priest, and killing not one, not two, but three different dragons.
-
In Which Merawen Defeats the Wolf Queen for Solitude
This session was pretty much entirely driven by wanting to whittle down the side quests, for the Guild and otherwise–and also by realizing that holy crap, I have about 25,000 gold, that’s enough to buy Proudspire, maybe I should go get Elisif to make me her thane?
So I did the plot to defeat Potema the Wolf Queen and keep her from being resurrected. Also moved the Forbidden Legends quest along, and did a whole bunch of thievery and other side quests as well.
Also, pro tip: try to avoid reading scrolls that will set you and nearby enemies on fire, if you don’t also want to set your housecarl on fire and piss her off. JUST SAYING.
