Elder Scrolls Online,  Veghra Playthrough

In Which Veghra Rescues Lyris from Coldharbour

Finally, a second post for my Orc character Veghra in ESO! This is a super-short one, since this post is mostly just me derping around with Veghra running writs, hitting dolmens and geysers, running surveys, and generally exploring. I wouldn’t normally have spent an entire post on this, but I’ll go ahead and do it for a short one. And there was at least a little bit of main quest action here, too.

Play by play

  • Play dates: 2/15-2/17/2024
  • Session numbers in this run: 4-6

February 15th

  • Went to Lillandril on Summerset for exploration purposes, but also so I could find the guild trader there who could sell me a recipe I needed for writs
  • Then since there was a new crafter event kicking in, ran a few surveys in Stormhaven and also Wrothgar; marked a lot of places for Veghra’s map in both locations
  • Activated a mount; decided I wanted Veghra to ride the durzog I’d picked up earlier as a login reward
  • In Stormhaven, ran Gavaudon Dolmen since I was near the Weeping Giant Wayshrine for the alchemy writ, and the dolmen nearby fired off
  • Then boinged to Wrothgar on general Orc principles, and ran two surveys there
  • Also found Orzorga’s Kitchen, and I’ll definitely have to run her plot again as this alt 😀
  • Leveled up two more levels to 17
  • Also ran surveys in Deshaan and Eastmarch just to get those onto Veghra’s map
  • Picked up a couple more skyshards

February 16th

  • Did a little harvesting around Alinor
  • Hit the Welenkin geyser since it fired off while I was in the vicinity
  • Read the Psijic Shields page I got as Gyllerah, and that let me level up to 18
  • Ran the quest to go rescue Lyris from Coldharbour, and that let me level up to 19

February 17th

  • After buying style pages for Ancient Orc styles as Gyllerah, worked on making a better outfit style for Veghra, and yep Ancient Orc definitely looks better than regular Orc style
  • Set the dye colors but that’s still a work in progress
  • Ran around doing some more surveys, primarily in Bangkorai
  • Leveled up to 20
  • That let me get a Lion Guard costume which I don’t hate, though the cuirass is very boobtacular; very basic Breton heavy armor look, and I may occasionally use this for Veghra
  • Found M’aiq the Liar while derping around that graveyard spot in Bangkorai, with all the daedra and the dolmen
  • Dolmen fired off while I was there, but the game crashed before I could finish it, and I missed out on the loot >_<

Commentary

As noted above, really not too much to say here since most of these three days’ worth of playing were just writs and surveys, and general exploration for the sake of getting more places onto Veghra’s map. And also, for the sake of finding random things to do to work on leveling her.

That said, I did also do the next stage of the main quest–rescuing Lyris from Coldharbour, and discovering while doing so that Sai Sahan is imprisoned somewhere and being tortured for his knowledge of the whereabouts of the Amulet of Kings. I’ve already covered that in depth via Gyllerah’s playthrough, so what I’ll say here is just how all this hits Veghra in particular.

As I noted in Veghra’s opening post, nobody does vengeance like a follower of Malacath! So I absolutely think Veghra was all in on kicking Mannimarco’s ass as fast as possible. Though she was perhaps feeling generous enough to extend the scope of her vengeance to include the abuses dealt to the Prophet, Lyris, and then Sai Sahan, as she continued to learn more about what was going on!

More to come on this, as I get more caught up on Veghra’s posts.

Next time

Veghra’s next post will feature more substantial adventuring: Daggerfall Covenant stuff in the city of the same name; main quest; Mages Guild; and Fighters Guild!
