Fic: Courtship Doesn’t Work Like That
Interrupting my playthrough posts for Nona's Tuxborn run with a surprise outburst of fic--because I have some issues with how a conversation with one of the custom followers went. And this is my pulling a better narrative out of the entire encounter. Have a read to see how Nona really doesn't take well to Aviendha trying very hard to matchmake on behalf of Ysolda!

A review about followers available in Tuxborn
While I work on getting caught up on my main playthrough posts, here's a roundup so far of my thoughts on followers available in the Tuxborn modpack for Skyrim. LOTS of interesting followers, but I can't run them all, so I've had to cut down on the number of active followers I have! This post is a roundup of what followers I've tried so far, who's made the cut to remain an active follower, and who hasn't.

Mod review: Carved Brink (with spoilers)
Since I have concluded playing the mod Carved Brink in my ongoing Tuxborn playthrough, here's a review post about that. Picoreview: very mixed bag. Gorgeous visuals and a fun travel mechanic, but a plot I found ultimately weak and unsatisfying. Post contains spoilers for the mod, so read with caution if you haven't played it yet.

In Which Nona Finds a Dragonstone and Fights a Dragon
In which Nona recovers the Dragonstone and a lost golden dragon claw from Bleak Falls Barrow; is tasked to help fight an attacking dragon at Whiterun's western watchtower; slays the dragon Mirmulnir and is revealed as Dragonborn; is given a thaneship in Whiterun; and is assigned a very cantankerous Lydia to be her housecarl.

In Which Nona Takes a Crack at Bleak Falls Barrow
In which Nona tries and fails, several times, to go to Valtheim Towers; meets a blind mage in the Bannered Mare and invites her to join her on her journeying; goes with both her followers to Riverwood, and agrees to help the trader there recover his lost Golden Claw; and goes to Bleak Falls Barrow in search of the claw and the Dragonstone.

Initial Commentary on Tuxborn
A post with my initial impressions of the Tuxborn modpack for Skyrim. Including how leveling works; changes to the look of the world and the characters; UI changes; map and music changes; new armor on NPCs and available to the player; some bumpiness with settings I needed to figure out how to change; and more!

In Which Nona Has a Long and Bumpy Start
In which the young Imperial Nona is left for dead at Steamcrag Camp; eludes a treacherous Khajiit by way of hostile giant; visits Kynesgrove and Windhelm; travels to Whiterun, and helps several of the locals there; travels to Riverwood and Helgen, and meets a former arena fighter named Gorr; witnesses Alduin's attack on Helgen, and reports it to Whiterun's Jarl; and is engaged by Balgruuf and Farengar to retrieve the Dragonstone from Bleak Falls Barrow.
