This is the page for my ninth Skyrim playthrough, for the character Finds-The-Way, Argonian, and likely thief and maybe also assassin.

I began this playthrough on 7/8/2023, as part of verifying whether my base Skyrim game was still okay after a disastrous attempt to recover Harrowhark’s playthrough. But I went ahead and decided to play her, with a couple of goals in mind:

Running with no mods whatsoever, just so I could have Achievements–not a thing I’ve been able to do before
Playing in German!

Finds is definitely going to join the Thieves Guild, and I will be putting heavy consideration into running the Dark Brotherhood with her, due to the Shadowscales angle I’m working into her backstory.

Like Ysani before her, Finds is named (indirectly) after my character Wayfound from my days on Two Moons MUSH.

Finds-The-Way’s Backstory

Very rough idea for Finds’ backstory is that she’s marsh-born, from a very remote tribe that hasn’t had a Shadowscale born to them in a very long time. But she was born under the sign of the Shadow, and her tribe’s Hist realized she would have to go to Skyrim to find the Dark Brotherhood to receive training there.

As a cover story, she’s also going to cheerfully claim to have relatives working at the Riften docks. Who will very likely conveniently “die” the first time a dragon strafes the place in her run!

In which Finds-The-Way cleanses Kilkreath of a necromancer, and acquires Dawnbreaker; returns both Barbas and the Rueful Axe to Clavicus Vile; slays zombies at a ritual site gone wrong; slays a dragon at Ancient's Ascent; and quests into Ustengrav in search of the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller.

In which Finds-The-Way apprehends a Redguard fugitive; goes to High Hrothgar to visit the Greybeards; becomes thane of Falkreath; buys land and begins building Lakeview Manor; acquires Hendraheim; encounters a Daedra dog; and kills a whole lot of bandits.
In Which Finds-The-Way is Revealed as Dragonborn - 07/20/2023
In which Finds-The-Way retrieves the Dragonstone from Bleak Falls Barrow; helps Whiterun fight off a dragon attack, and is revealed as Dragonborn; is proclaimed Thane of Whiterun, and receives Lydia as her housecarl; and thwarts an assassination attempt on the Jarl, and gains the Bow of Shadows from the would-be assassin.
In Which Finds-The-Way Finds Her Way Out of Helgen - 07/12/2023
In which the Argonian Finds-The-Way escapes a dragon attack at Helgen, and is recruited by the Jarl of Whiterun to recover a Dragonstone from Bleak Falls Barrow. New playthrough, featuring running in the German language! Expect a lot of language geekery and very long compound nouns. This is a mod-free playthrough, and I will also be tracking how many Achievements I rack up, since I haven't done that before in Skyrim.
