In Which Ysani Quests for the College of Winterhold
And here’s the post for Sunday’s play! Main highlights here: finishing running Mzulft, and returning to the college to witness Ancano making his play for the Eye of Magnus, the death of the Arch-Mage, and the attack of magical anomalies on Winterhold.
Also of note: why it’s bad for your housecarl to piss off the Master Wizard of the mage college you’re a member of.

In Which Ysani Quests for the Bards College
Primary point of this session was doing the instrument finding quests for the Bards College, and getting the resulting skill bumps from them! And I began running Mzulft for the mage college plot.
(Also, this is not actually yesterday’s session–this is the session from Saturday. I never did put up this post yesterday, because of being out for a good chunk of the afternoon running errands. The post for yesterday’s play is forthcoming!)

In Which Ysani is Recognized as the Dragonborn
This is another session in which a lot more went on than I can easily fit into the subject line of the post! So let’s run with being recognized as the Dragonborn by the Greybeards, since that’s the thing most relevant to the game’s main plot.
Other highlights of this session include advancing the mage college plot far enough along to go to Mzulft, following Delphine to Kynesgrove and slaying Sahloknir there, a fair number of challenges fighting both dragons and cultists, and questing into Dead Men’s Respite in search of King Olaf’s verse for the Bards College.
-
In Which Delga Visits the Throat of the World
This session was mostly about moving the main plot along a little further–and going to the top of the Throat of the World to meet Paarthurnax and learn more about what to do to stop Alduin!
-
In Which Delga Continues to Aid the College of Winterhold
This session was all about continuing the main plot of the mage college, featuring finishing the run through Mzulft to get info on the whereabouts of the Staff of Magnus–and then returning to find chaos at the college, witnessing the death of the Arch-Mage, and having to leap into action to save the town of Winterhold from magical anomalies!
-
In Which Delga Goes to Mzulft for the College of Winterhold
A good bit of this session’s action was just building, crafting, and selling things—but there was also progress on the main plot for the mage college!
-
In Which Merawen Seeks Stones of Barenziah and Kills Dragons
After yesterday’s big exciting post, this one is rather more low-key. In this session I mostly just focused on taking care of some pending side work, with the main goals being “get the remaining Stones of Barenziah” and “clear a few things off the Miscellaneous section of my journal quests”.
-
In Which Merawen Robs a Museum and Seeks the Staff of Magnus
More tightly focused goals this session, with a focus specifically on the Thieves Guild plot and the Mage College plot. Side activity was restricted to just selling and/or dropping off loot in Whiterun, and doing a little bit of Smithing at Warmaiden’s.
Details behind the fold!

In Which the Dragonborn Learns More About How to Defeat Alduin
Since I reached level 46, it was time to proceed with the next part of moving the main questline along–and doing Alduin’s Wall! But before I did that, I took care of a bit more side quests as well, some for Riften, some for the mage college.
-
In Which the Dragonborn Goes to Mzulft and Volunruud
This was a short session, compared to some of my other monster sessions lately! Main points were clearing a bounty, finding cogs for Arniel at the college, and finding another Word Wall.
