In Which Ysani Robs a Museum, Translates a Journal, and Investigates Arkngthamz
More Thieves Guild action in this one—but not quite as much as I wanted, because I realized that I’m now poised to get Chillrend. And I want the level 46+ version of it, which means I have a few more levels to get through before I’m ready! So I also scampered off to fire up the Lost to the Ages quest!

In Which Ysani Works Her Way Towards Markarth
I was in the mood to go overland from Riften to Markarth, and knock down several side quests on the way to getting to Calcelmo and doing the next phase of the Thieves Guild plot. This let me finish off not one, not two, but three different side quests! So a productive and action-filled little session.

In Which Delga Establishes a Presence in Markarth
This session was all about working on establishing the Dragonborn’s presence in Markarth. Did the initial couple of quests to get the Jarl friendly to me, bought Vlindrel Hall, and started working on gaining the thaneship.

In Which Delga Finds the Treasure in Arkngthamz
This session saw the conclusion of the trek through Arkngthamz, and the purchase of land for Heljarchen Hall! At which Delga established fellow Companion Ria as her steward.

In Which the Dragonborn Foils a Conspiracy in Markarth
I decided to go ahead and do the Forsworn Conspiracy plot, as well as its immediate followup, No One Escapes Cidhna Mine.
Plus, I wanted to give Markarth a bit of a fighting chance and see whether it presented me any reasons to like it. Spoiler alert: mostly, not so much.

Adventures in Skyrim Up Till Now
I’ve been posting play by play updates of my adventures in Skyrim, a thing that folks are telling me on both Twitter and Facebook that they enjoy reading. It has, however, occurred to me that it might actually be nice to post that stuff to the blog! Not only for the sake of new actual content, but also for the sake of anybody who actually reads my blog (or the Dreamwidth mirror), and who might be entertained by my Skyrim adventures.
I’m not going to re-post all the play by plays up to this point, just because redoing them is work I don’t feel like doing. But to bring everybody who doesn’t follow me on social media up to speed, here’s where I am in the game so far. (And while this is primarily a summary of in-game activity, I’m also throwing in periodic in-character commentary, just because this is so immersive a game that it really does feel like my old MUSHing days.)
Lots of gaming geekery behind the fold!
Alarrah the Wood-Elf is now level 21, and has established herself as a Thane of Whiterun, with her loyal housecarl Lydia tromping with her all over the countryside killing assorted dragons, bandits, undead, and other beasties; righting assorted wrongs; and just generally collecting a lot of shiny loot while the Skyrim Civil War builds around her.
