Merawen Playthrough
Posts pertaining to my playthrough of Merawen the Dunmer

In Which Merawen Slays the Dragon Priest Rahgot
This was a short session because Sunday night, so all I had to time to do really was run the Forelost dungeon. With a side helping of loot selling, and buying level 68 training!

In Which Merawen Explores North of Windstad and South of Riften
Another low-key session as I continue to look for remaining things I can do before I finish out the main plot. Main action of this run was going to High Gate Ruins for the quest called A Scroll for Anska, but I also got in some exploration along the northeastern coast of the Sea of Ghosts, and found some spots I hadn’t found before!
And I reset my Smithing, and did a boatload of creation of things and purchasing of training to work on building it back up.

In Which Merawen Has a Way Livelier Night Than Anticipated
I was in the mood for a low-key and frivolous session, now that I’m between doing Dragonborn and finishing up the main quest. So for this session, I mostly boinged around a lot between various places, moving resources around, buying more resources, and working on building Windstad Minor.
But I also did one of the most frivolous Daedric quests in the game: A Night to Remember, which features the Daedric prince of debauchery, Sanguine!

In Which Merawen Becomes Thane of Hjaalmarch and Also Defeats Miraak
This session was actually a couple of smaller sessions on the same day with a break between, but for purposes of this post, I’m still calling it one session. And this cycle of play started fairly low-key—but finished with a bang!
Because I finally became thane of Hjaalmarch, not a terribly difficult thing to do when I was level 65. And then I finally finished up the main Dragonborn plot, and took out Miraak!

In Which Merawen Tells Sapphire About Her Father, and Slays a Dragon in Solitude
This session turned out to be focused entirely on a jaunt back to Skyrim proper. I’d gone over intending to do a circuit of all the houses and sell things, but a couple of surprises turned up!
Not the least of which was my very first incident of having to fight a dragon right inside Solitude.

In Which Merawen Clears White Ridge Barrow and Discovers the Fate of Torkild
This session was a little shorter than I wanted, actually—because of discovering I had a bug with Kagrumez that prevented me from properly clearing that locale. But I did do White Ridge Barrow, and also finally found Torkild of the Skaal!
-
In Which Merawen Slays Vahlok the Jailor and Karstaag the Frost Giant
This session was basically all about resolving the Lost Legacy quest, in which you help the scholar Tharstan investigate Vahlok’s Tomb, and then going and taking out the formidable frost giant Karstaag.
And oh yeah, I guess the rieklings get to enlist me to help them keep Thirsk Mead Hall. You better be grateful for this, you little blue knuckleheads. 😉

In Which Merawen Slays the Dragon Priest Ahzidal and Clears Kolbjorn Barrow
Short session as anticipated, because Sunday night session. Basically only had time to do the final stage of the Kolbjorn Barrow quest, and read the Black Book found there.

In Which Merawen Clears Benkongerike and Slays the Dragon Viinturuth
This was a shorter session than expected for a play session on a Saturday night–in no small part because I’d had to work Saturday afternoon, and I was pretty fried. If I’m yawning my damn fool head off every couple of minutes, no matter how much I want to, I can’t really effectively stay up until stupid-o’clock playing Skyrim!
So I only stayed up until slightly-foolish-o’clock. 😉

In Which Merawen Cleanses the Water Stone
This was a shorter session than is typical for me on a Friday night. But this is what happens when you’re asked to be on standby for working on a Saturday, and therefore cannot stay up until stupid-o’clock in the morning playing Skyrim!
So really, I mostly just had time for cleansing the Water Stone and clearing Glacial Cave. With a side helping of crafting, and also werebears!
