Here are my screenshots for the playthrough for Ganniwer of the Bosmer, in Oblivion! I cannot paginate these, so apologies for the length of this album list.
View of the Imperial City 1
Being out in broad daylight near the Imperial City meant I had an opportunity to just actually admire it, so here'a s screencap of that. With, of course, the White-Gold Tower being prominent in the center.
View of the Imperial City 2
Another shot of the Imperial City, though this time with more emphasis on some of the nearby countryside. Very pretty rolling hills.
Near the Imperial City
More pretty rolling hills near the Imperial City.
Invisible Innkeeper
Having subtitles on is kind of helpful if I want to take a screenshot of an invisible innkeeper.
Invisible Mage
As you can SEE! HA! I kill me!
Hurray, The Town is Visible!
And hmm, I actually kind of like this bit of additional game context for a successful quest conclusion. It's a little more immersive than Skyrim's brief completed quest alerts.
Diram Serethi
This is what the innkeeper looked like when I could actually see him again. This was while I still had the Character Overhaul mod active, and reviewing the screenshot, I see some of the same issues here that were more pronounced later when I talked to Snak at the stables. That area right below his neck seems fucked up.
Free Bed
Teeny room, not much to speak of, but hey! Free bed!
Level 3
Yay! Level 3 achieved!
Snak 1
Leaving aside any jokes about this Orc's name being Snak (snerk), she looked definitely weird with the Character Overhaul mod active. This weird glowy rendering of her ears and neck were what drove me to just disable the mod. I'm sure somebody might have patched this but couldn't be moved to go look for appropriate patches.
Snak 2
Take two of Snak, this time with the Character Overhaul mod off. Not a fan of that skin tone, but at least now her features are coherent!
Hurray, Armored Horse
That 500 gold price carries over to Skyrim with the Horse Armor Creation, too! Though Skyrim doesn't give you the first armor set for free. 😉
Horse in Elven Armor
And here's the horse I got from the priory, outfitted in Elven armor! We'll see if this actually lets the horse survive for more than a few levels. Honestly, this looks pretty cool.
Hirtel
This guy was my first indication that things were NOT all right at Kvatch.
Oblivion Gate
Um. Yeah. This looks bad. And I'm supposed to go in there, find the soldiers who went in first, and shut this down HOW exactly?
Ilend
Survivor number one, once I got through the gate and started checking out the situation. Unfortunately this soldier got killed pretty quickly every single time I died and had to restart the run through the Deadlands.
Charming
Noted this head on a spike just outside the entrance to the Reapers Sprawl, where I had to find the Sigil Stone to shut down the Oblivion gate. Nothing says dremora decoration like heads on spikes!
Prisoner
Found this other survivor, Ilend's fellow soldier Menien, who was chock fulla useful information. Unfortunately, I couldn't actually free him from his cage , which seemed unfair.
Many, Many Attempts in the Deadlands Later...
Holy shit, I actually finally made it through and shut down the gate!
New Objective
So let me get this straight, Savilan, one Bosmer chick has more fighting experience than the rest of your remaining guard force? How many remaining guards awe are talking here? FIVE? And you want to launch a counterattack on the city? Have you SEEN how many clannfear are running around in here?
After the Retcon
Trying to break the siege of Kvatch did not go well, so NEW PLAN! Let's go play in the Arena! This guy, a Bosmer named Hundolin, was happy to help me out with that.
Owyn
This Redguard, the Blademaster of the Arena, was decidedly unimpressed by the sweet-faced Bosmer girl showing up in his barracks... until I went out and kicked the ass of a Yellow team combatant for him.
Levelling Up in Light Armor
Getting better at wearing my gear! Yay!
