Here are my screenshots for the playthrough for Gyllerah of the Altmer, in Elder Scrolls Online! I cannot paginate these, so apologies for the length of this album list.
Not Pleased About Being Questioned
The Redguard Rhanul is justifiably cranky about being questioned about his activities. Particularly given that I'm a High Elf. Dude, I swear I'm not a Thalmor!
Wait, This Job is Getting More Complicated
Raz, my dude, you asked us to get you information, we brought you the info, now you want us to break into a monastery? Are you by any chance considering paying us for this? Just curious, you understand.
Entering the Monastery
The monastery looked cool but I'm also seeing some signs of ghost image details over this screencap. Clearly I need to be a bit more careful about the timing of my screencaps on this game? I think maybe the monastery interior wasn't quite done rendering when I did this.
To Be Fair I'd Be Cranky Too If Some Stranger Interrupted My Nap
This monk was super testy about Paul and me coming over to wake him up to question him. But he did at least offer up some useful information, and was not shy about dropping large stone hints that we ought to fuck off.
Meeting a Fellow Skulker
Enter Valsirenn, NPC from the Psijic Order! The plot thickens! Also: I like her armor!
Not the SLIGHTEST BIT SUSPICIOUS
I am shocked, SHOCKED I SAY, to see Daedra loose in the undercroft of this monastery!
Hold Up Exactly How Did I Know This About Raz?
Answer: because finding out Raz is one of the Queen's Eyes is apparently a thing that happens in the main plot? Which Paul and I haven't started yet. Guess I gotta take the liberty of assuming Raz actually dropped a hint at us about it anyway. Of course, if a strange Khajiit comes up to you and recruits you for an information gathering job, to be fair, it's also pretty safe to assume he's some kind of spy. ;D
And Speaking of the Spy
Look, Raz, I appreciate the gravity of this situation, but you caught that part back there about whether or not you're going to pay me and my friend K'sragi here? I mean, if you're going to recruit us FOR YOUR SPY WORK and all. And send us in because you can't go in yourself!
Fireplace Interlude
Meanwhile, I had to stop and admire this fireplace on the way out of the inn where we talked to Raz! It looked quite nice.
Zone Loading Take Two
Better screenshot of the loading screen for Summerset, wherein I can actually read the text about it.
No UI Screenshot Test 1
Testing what screenshot taking looks like without the UI on. Answer: pretty nice!
No UI Screenshot Test 2
Second test of a no-UI screenshot, this time looking at Gyllerah from the side. I'm appreciating having more options for character angle here.
No UI Screenshot Test 3
Third test of a no-UI screenshot. Note that I do have Steam's in-game frame rate counter visible here, and that kind of interferes with the whole no-UI look. This is me playing in Gaming mode on the Deck, specifically, and I think I may need to toggle that option off while in that mode. I like the Desktop counter better where I can put it down out of the way in the bottom left corner. Plus, ESO has its own frame rate counter, regardless! So I don't need Steam's.
Rather Publicly Dead Body
I feel like some of these Dominion Guards I've seen patrolling Shimmerene maybe sorta kinda oughta be having a look at this dead body lying here? I didn't engage, partly because Obvious Quest Hook, and I wanted to check with Paul before taking a quest without him!
Nirnroot
I was kind of ridiculously delighted to find nirnroot, and that it was making the familiar chiming noise. We'll have to see later if I'll find crimson nirnroot somewhere too!
Heron at the Stream
This heron was hanging out at the stream where I found the nirnroot! I really like that this game has more obvious birds in it than Skyrim does. Skyrim has a few but they're usually just occasional flying shadows in the sky overhead.
