Shenner Screenshots Here are my screenshots for the playthrough for Shenner of the Nords! I cannot paginate these, so apologies for the length of this album list. « back to albumShenner Session 35 Skorvild at the ShrineThe unfortunate sod who kicks off this entire plot by asking the Dragonborn to meet him at the Shrine of Stendarr. Unfortunately for Skorvild, by the time I arrive, he is very, very dead.Excavation CampThis excavation camp is up in the foothills near Ivarstead. I had to search the place for further clues, after taking out a couple of cultists there.Inside the TentThe interior of the primary tent at the excavation camp.Map of SkyrimThis map was on the table inside the excavation camp's primary tent. This is in fact the official Skyrim map I've seen referenced on the wiki, so I'm amused to see it getting used as an environment detail here.Bedroll With a RugThis otherwise very normal looking bedroll stood out for me because of the rug underneath it. That seems an interesting detail to include, just because it implies that the cultists who set up the camp are the sorts of travelers who think it's appropriate to bring along a fancy rug to stick underneath their bedrolls. An interesting choice, given that one presumes they were trying to be circumspect in their travels?Platform and Ladder Inside RielleOnce I reached the Rielle ruins at Arcwind Point, one of the first things I saw was this platform and ladder structure at the entrance into the ruins proper.Rielle Ruins 1First of several screenshots of the Rielle ruins, which look a lot nicer overall than the Dwemer or Nordic ruins you find everywhere else in the game. Looks like they're holding up pretty damned well. I really like the overall look of this ruin, design-wise.Rielle Ruins 2Close look at one of the several Ayleid Urns that were all over the place. Basically the equivalent of burial urns you see in the more typical Nordic ruins in the game. And full of better loot, as it happened.Rielle Ruins 3A stairway inside the ruins. This is one of the spots that show very little sign of wear or disintegration from age; there ARE places elsewhere in the ruin that look older, but not this staircase. Which is in practically perfect condition.Rielle Ruins 4A gate of delicate and ethereal design, which certainly had Tolkien-esque echoes to me.Dead WightRielle was full of wights and wight lords, which basically acted like draugr. But which clearly used to be elves rather than Nords, given that they were all armed and armored with elven gear.Rielle Ruins 5One of the examples of things in the ruin that clearly _had_ fallen apart with age: this chandelier, fallen to the floor, along with the fragments of the stones it must have once borne. The Journal of JanusThe journal I found on the dead body of Janus, the head of the cultist expedition into Rielle, describing his efforts to explore the place.Rielle Ruins 6A long corridor with a pretty tiled pattern on the floor.Rielle Ruins 7Here's an example of a chandelier still in place.Rielle Ruins 8This glowing tree design very much reminded me of the Tree of Gondor.Rielle Ruins 9Closer look at one of those delicate gates. Not sure if this metal is supposed to be rusted iron, or bronze?Rielle Ruins 10This chamber was where I had to place elemental shards to open up a hidden chamber in the ruin. You can see a couple of the shard holders on the left side of the picture.Great Welkynd StoneThis large stone is the thing I had to obtain that made it possible for me to inadvertently open the Oblivion Gate at the end of the plot. And, writing this caption, I question how the hell I carried that stone anywhere! That thing's kind of huge!Norion the UndyingThe boss enemy I had to defeat at the Rielle ruins. He basically acted like a dragon priest--but again, elven rather than Nordic.Vigil EnforcerOne of the Enforcers of the Vigil of Stendarr. Who are pretty much as sanctimonious as the regular Vigilants, only these ones have armor and bladed weapons. FUN.At Tundra HomesteadI just happened to like the composition of this screencap, with me in the ebony armor on Swift Wind, and Rulnik in his ebony plate armor off to the right.Shenner in Vampire Robes 1Salvaged a vampire robe and gloves from previously killed vampires. Not sure why this is considered a vampire robe given that it looks a lot like any other dress a female character might wear? And I'm not sure what about this is vampire-specific, other than the color scheme.Shenner in Vampire Robes 2Alternate angle of Shenner in the vampire robe.Shenner in Mythic Dawn RobePut on the Mythic Dawn gear for purposes of sneaking into their lair. This is what it looked like, and I'm vaguely startled that it actually hangs kind of loosely on my character. You might actually think she has no boobs, on a casual glance! ;PArgonian CultistThis Argonian was one of the many cultists who showed absolutely no sign of being alarmed when I strode into Red Scar Cavern.Banner of the Mythic DawnThese banners were all over the place, inside Red Scar Cavern.Mining CultistsBecause apparently having a temple with an Oblivion Gate wasn't the only purpose of this cavern? I passed a couple of cultists with pickaxes actively mining.Oblivion Gate, InactiveFirst look at the Oblivion Gate, once I break into the temple.Sune the SacrificeThis unfortunate victim was the brother of Skorvild, who I'd found dead at the shrine at the beginning of the plot. Dead by his brother's hand, in fact.Oblivion Gate, ActiveThe gate woke up once I killed Vonos. Which was apparently THE ENTIRE PLAN TO BEGIN WITH. Um. Oops?Harrada and Flesh PodAn example of the harrada plants I found growing just beyond the gate, as well as a disturbing-looking Flesh Pod hanging next to it.The Deadlands 1Ominous-looking buildings in the distance, a smoke-filled red sky, pools of lava, and a blasted landscape. WELCOME TO THE DEADLANDS!The Deadlands 2A path of stable ground between lava pools, leading to the carved stones just beyond. The PunishedI spotted a few of these in the Deadlands, which were also disturbing. Red structures with what looked like a beating heart in the middle, called the Punished. Raises unsettling questions about what these structures might have been prior to the punishment.
