In Which Kendis Gains a Thaneship and Dawnbreaker
If you’re looking at this post going “hey, didn’t Harrowhark also just get the thaneship of Falkreath, and Lakeview Manor, and the Masque of Clavicus Vile?”, you are correct. This is kind of what happens when you’re doing two parallel playthroughs, it’s very easy for them to fall into similar patterns!
Aside from those two things, though, I also raided Faldar’s Tooth and actually saw more of that particular bandit hideout than I ever had done before, so that was cool!

In Which Shenner Fights a Mad Conjurer in the Solitude Sewers
Highly entertaining session, focused entirely on the conclusion of the Balance of Power and Restoring Order quests, which let me finish up the Saints and Seducers content provided in the Anniversary Edition. Took this all the way through to the epilogue as well.

In Which Ysani Becomes Thane of the Reach, and Also a Nightingale
This is the first of two Skyrim posts today, for the play session on Thursday 2/17! Warm-up action for this session was becoming Thane of the Reach, and getting Vlindrel Hall and Argis the Bulwark as housecarl.
Main action, though? Raiding Mercer Frey’s house and proceeding through the Thieves Guild plot to become a Nightingale. 😀

In Which Ysani Quests Through the Reach
Did not yet advance the main Thieves Guild plot in this session, but did do some general thievery! Also, running a few side quests in the Reach, including getting the third aetherium shard for Lost to the Ages!
-
In Which Delga Battles a Dragon and Bandits, and Seeks Azura’s Star
This is a double session post, covering play done on Friday the 19th and Saturday the 20th! Doubling up because Friday’s was a short session, and I was too busy on Saturday trying to plow through my gigantic email backlog to do a Skyrim post. So y’all are getting both sessions in this combined post!
Major highlights: running the Volunruud dungeon to get the Shout word there; beginning the quest to get Azura’s Star; and killing a dragon with Farkas. In theory.

In Which Merawen Masters the Illusion School, and Attends a Peace Council
As of this session I am officially done with the Ritual quests for the mage college, and I have all the high-tier, baddest-assed spells in my arsenal.
Also, proceeded to the point of having the peace council between the Imperials and Stormcloaks! The main plot is back!

In Which Merawen Recovers a Ghost’s Sword and Goes to Volunruud
Another “general adventuring” kind of session, with the two main points being finishing the quest to get the sword for the ghost in the Old Hroldan Inn, and then going to Volunruud and getting what I’m pretty sure is my last available Shout word off a Word Wall.

In Which Merawen Dives Headlong into Forgotten Vale
Now we’re down to it, the Forgotten Vale, definitely my favorite part of the Dawnguard quest line! I did not finish it in this session, but I did get through Darkfall Cave and Darkfall Passage, and made good inroads on Forgotten Vale itself once I got there.
It’ll probably take me another couple of sessions to finish it up and finally get Auriel’s Bow!

In Which Merawen Rescues a Future Sybil and Hunts Yet More Vampires
I had not planned to visit the Temple of Dibella during this run, or to do their Heart of Dibella quest, but events conspired otherwise! Because one of the side quests for the Dawnguard pointed me at one of the temple priestesses as a lead on finding a vampire–and I couldn’t get at her without doing the Heart of Dibella quest. But it was a new thing, so that was fun!
Also, there was more vampire hunting. And severe chastising of bandits who attacked me at Lakeview.
And, sadly, the loss of the blacksmith Ghorza in Markarth, killed by the Traveler NPC vampire. RIP Ghorza! 😢
