In Which Kendis Quests Across Solstheim, But With Challenges
This post is the first two sessions I’ve done with Kendis on Solstheim in Skyrim–during which I discovered, to my dismay, that two quests on Solstheim are actively broken if you’re running the Anniversary Edition on the Switch.
So in these two sessions, I tried to see what I could do about this, and also tried to see how many of the things I usually run on Solstheim are still functional. Deets behind the fold.

In Which Faanshi Finds the Black Book of Nchardak
And just because I have been kind of neglecting my playthrough on the Switch, I wanted to make a point of getting back to Faanshi and her playthrough! Main action: going to Tel Mithryn, clearing the Sun Stone, hitting Nchardak for its Black Book–and getting the ultimatum from Hermaeus Mora.

In Which Shenner Investigates a Cult and Black Books
Mix of old stuff and new stuff in this session! I got the Ghosts of the Tribunal plot seriously underway, which necessitated not only visiting Fahlbtharz, but also investigating the Ashfall’s Tear cavern behind Raven Rock Mine. And then, just to move the main Dragonborn plot along a little further, I went to talk to Neloth and ran Nchardak!

In Which Ysani Seeks a Black Book and a New Source of Stalhrim
This post covers play done on Tuesday 4/19 and Wednesday 4/20. Main action: running Nchardak with Neloth and Argis! Hunting for Deathbrand treasure–and stalhrim, after queuing up the fun side quests available in the Skaal village!
And of course, fighting dragons and dealing with that soul-sniping asshole Miraak.

In Which Delga Discovers Riekling Worship and Slays a Frost Giant Ghost
Two main points of this session; running the cave at Frossel, which I hadn’t done before! Which let me discover rieklings actually worshipping a makeshift idol.
And also: taking out the ghost frost giant Karstaag! 😀

In Which Delga Finds the Hoard of Haknir Death-Brand
This was another of those “do side quests on Solstheim” type sessions, as I work on loose ends before finally taking on Miraak. With special guest appearance by Miraak himself!

In Which Delga is Challenged by Hermaeus Mora
My ability to play Skyrim this week has been spotty due to the whole adventures around the internet outage at my house, but also because the day job got crunchy again. But that said I did get in a short-ish play session last night, finishing up the run in Nchardak and advancing the main Dragonborn plot!

In Which Delga Goes to Tel Mithryn and Nchardak
This is my Skyrim post for the last play I did, on Monday 1/10, just before my house internet came back up. This is also the most recent Skyrim post I have to share with y’all, since I didn’t play last night; I was too busy dealing with necessary aftermaths of bringing the house net back up.
Since I’m posting this with normal functionality restored, it will be cross-posted to Dreamwidth as per usual.
This run was kind of short as it was done on a Monday night, but it let me get in some action on the way to Tel Mithryn, have my initial meeting with the wizard Neloth, and get started on running Nchardak at Neloth’s behest!

In Which Merawen Goes to Nchardak
As this was a weeknight session it wasn’t as long and involved as my weekend ones. So the main goal here was to clear Nchardak, and, time permitting, get to the Black Book there and move the plot far enough along to be at the point where I have to go back and talk to the Skaal.
This was successful. Which means I’m also now a fair ways in on the main Dragonborn plot, and that I’ll need to put that on hold for a bit while I do side things on Solstheim!

In Which the Dragonborn Goes to Nchardak
This session saw the advancement of both the main Dragonborn plotline, and side quests as well! I’ve ranged pretty well over the southern end of the island of Solstheim with these efforts, and some up the eastern and western shores as well. Soon enough though I’m sure I’ll be heading more north.
Highlights and details behind the fold!
