In Which Faanshi Signs On With the Rieklings
Double session post here, since the two of them flowed well into one another, and the second session started by re-doing action I lost at the end of the first. Main things done here were resolving three side quests, A New Source of Stalhrim, The Chief of Thirsk Hall, and More Than You Can Chew. And for the latter two in particular, since I voted for Team Riekling in the Thirsk Hall plot, it means Faanshi is arguably in good with two different riekling tribes!

In Which Faanshi Discovers Miraak’s Hold on Solstheim
ESO has really been dominating my gaming time now that I’ve started playing it, because it’s the cool new kid in my gaming town. But I did jump back to Skyrim a bit, because I don’t want to abandon my playthroughs in progress! So I moved the Dragonborn plotline a little further along with my Khajiit Faanshi on the Switch.

In Which Faanshi Ventures to Kolbjorn Barrow and Miraak’s Temple
The big news item with this session of Faanshi’s is that Nintendo dropped a surprise release of the Anniversary Edition to the Switch! And I did of course buy it, so now Faanshi’s playthrough actually has access to the AE content, woo!
Meanwhile, she went to check out Kolbjorn Barrow, and then Miraak’s temple.

In Which Shenner Stops an Assassination and Finds Miraak’s Temple
Successfully saved Councillor Morvayn of Raven Rock from assassination, yay! And now I have Severin Manor, so I have a home base to work from to set about the important Dragonborn business of taking down Miraak. As well as doing all the other tasty side things to do on Solstheim!

In Which Ysani Uncovers a Threat on Solstheim
This post covers play done on Wednesday 4/13 and Thursday 4/14.
Why all the double session posts? Two reasons:
- Four playthroughs in, it’s harder for me to find new material to post about, and
- I’ve been having to go to bed earlier because the day job’s getting me up earlier, so I have less time to play on weeknights.
So it’s taking me longer to get enough useful material to make a post. Hence putting up a post every couple of sessions.
Anyway, main action here: beginning the run on Solstheim! And diving right into the main Dragonborn plot!

In Which Delga Defeats the First Dragonborn
As expected, this session let me take out Miraak and save Solstheim! Go me!
-
In Which Delga Goes to Solstheim
Note to all: This post is several days after the fact, since my house Internet went down on Thursday 1/6/2022, and only has come up again five days later. Not cross-posting this to Dreamwidth because I put up a mirror version of this same post on that site already, here.
With this session, I officially kick off the Dragonborn DLC activity for this playthrough! And the way the session action played out, Delga and her housecarl Calder made it to Solstheim and almost immediately got caught up in the mystery of what’s going on with Miraak taking over the minds of the people of the island.

In Which Merawen Becomes Thane of Hjaalmarch and Also Defeats Miraak
This session was actually a couple of smaller sessions on the same day with a break between, but for purposes of this post, I’m still calling it one session. And this cycle of play started fairly low-key—but finished with a bang!
Because I finally became thane of Hjaalmarch, not a terribly difficult thing to do when I was level 65. And then I finally finished up the main Dragonborn plot, and took out Miraak!

In Which Merawen Begins Saving Solstheim from Miraak
Very busy session all around. Got the main Dragonborn plot properly underway with finding Miraak’s temple and meeting Frea of the Skaal, and letting that proceed along to the point of clearing four of the All-Maker Stones with the Bend Will Shout, and beginning the search for more of the Black Books.
Also, got the Kolbjorn Barrow plot properly underway and the A New Source of Stalhrim plot, as well as hunting for pieces of the Deathbrand armor. And got Cindiri Arano her folio back.

In Which the Dragonborn Begins the Hunt for Miraak
This session saw me finishing up the hunt for the Dragon Priest masks—and commencing the hunt for the other Dragonborn, Miraak, on the island of Solstheim.
It also saw the death of my horse, slain by a snowy sabre cat on my way to the Forelhost ruin. RIP, Alarrah’s Horse! You were a very good horse. Too bad you were only level four. 😢
