In Which Kendeshel Fights for the Imperials and is Inducted as a Companion and a Bard
This is a big chonky post, covering two days’ worth of action in my Legacy of the Dragonborn playthrough. Main items of interest here are beginning to find recruits for the Explorer’s Society; helping Whiterun fight off a Stormcloak attack; recovering a fragment of Wuuthrad for the Companions, and being formally inducted into their number; returning Olaf’s Verse to the Bards College and being formally inducted into their number as well; taking Fort Dunstad for the Empire; and recovering missing instruments for the Bards College; and finding the Minor Lord’s Mail.

In Which Elessir Escapes Helgen and Becomes a Dragonborn
After extensive doinking around with my mods to try to recover a workable set of them, finally got a load order I like working on both the VM and the Steam Deck. So time for a new modded playthrough, y’all.
And this time I’m switching it up even more and playing a dude, Elessir the Dunmer, named for Elessir a’Natharion from the Free Court books.
So let’s do that destroying Helgen thing, shall we?

In Which Finds-The-Way is Revealed as Dragonborn
Typical initial action for one of my playthroughs, getting started as a Dragonborn, getting thaned, getting Lydia, etc. But this time with lots of German language geekery.

In Which Kendis Escapes Helgen
New playthrough, who dis? This post officially kicks off my Survival Mode playthrough, starring Kendis the Redguard! In this session, I did the Helgen run, and just enough of Riverwood and Whiterun to get her to the point of getting the quest for Bleak Falls Barrow.

In Which Delga Acquires the Jagged Crown and Defends Whiterun from the Stormcloaks
This session gets me well and thoroughly into the civil war plotline in Skyrim. I ran the Jagged Crown quest at the Korvanjund ruin–and then went straight into participating in defending Whiterun from an invading force of Stormcloaks. Yikes!

In Which the Dragonborn Takes on Alduin, Round One
This was a big crunchy run too, not just for length of play time yesterday, but also for big significant plot points that got carried out. And big significant bugs that interfered with my ability to do that, even though I did finally make it through the buggy parts!
Skyrim is a ten year old game at this point, but I know of at least one player now playing it on the Switch who hadn’t ever played it before. So for the sake of hiding major game plot points, I’m putting everything behind the fold.
