In Which Kendeshel Fights for the Imperials and is Inducted as a Companion and a Bard
This is a big chonky post, covering two days’ worth of action in my Legacy of the Dragonborn playthrough. Main items of interest here are beginning to find recruits for the Explorer’s Society; helping Whiterun fight off a Stormcloak attack; recovering a fragment of Wuuthrad for the Companions, and being formally inducted into their number; returning Olaf’s Verse to the Bards College and being formally inducted into their number as well; taking Fort Dunstad for the Empire; and recovering missing instruments for the Bards College; and finding the Minor Lord’s Mail.

In Which Harrowhark Visits the Forgotten City
All of my Skyrim posts are spoiler-laden by definition. But this one has a particularly high volume of spoilers, because in the two sessions covered here, I talk about running the plot for the Forgotten City mod. If you haven’t ever played this mod and think you might want to, and if having spoilers in advance would wreck your ability to enjoy the mod, I strongly recommend you bookmark this post and come back to it later.
If you want a short spoiler-free review, check this post instead. (And if you’re reading this post directly on Dreamwidth instead of on the main Anna Plays Skyrim site, here’s the direct Dreamwidth version of the spoiler-free post.)
And now, let’s talk about the Forgotten City! With a side helping of getting the swords Bloodthirst and Red Eagle’s Bane, killing a dragon at Fort Greymoor, and seeing a herd of wild horses. <3
This post is very long, because I have a lot to say about the mod. Brace for verbosity!

In Which Kendis Joins the Companions and Apprehends a Fugitive
Main two themes of this session were Kendis joining the Companions, and then going to confront Kematu about the Saadia situation–which turned out to go the opposite way I expected!

In Which Skyrim Together Reborn is certainly a thing
My wife Dara found out about Skyrim Together Reborn, a mod that allows you to play Skyrim in a group with your friends, and as soon as she and I knew about this we knew it was a thing we wanted to try. So did Dara’s friend Mel, who has better Internet than we do, and who was therefore able to host a server.
Last night, we tried a playthrough session together and it turned out to be pretty frigging hilarious. 馃榾

In Which Delga Finds the Treasure in Arkngthamz
This session saw the conclusion of the trek through Arkngthamz, and the purchase of land for Heljarchen Hall! At which Delga established fellow Companion Ria as her steward.

And Now, in Today’s Episode of Jeez Skyrim is Pretty
Twitter thread from 5/16/2021, in which I share several screenshots.
And now, in today’s episode of Jeez Skyrim is Pretty:
I think this was the stables near Windhelm, an abortive discovery given that that part of my adventures got wiped out by character death? I liked the moon behind the stable and the placement of the horse in the view, though.
11:23 AM 路 May 16, 2021Skyrim has multiple moons and this shot let me see two of them at once! And also, Lydia! Hi, Lydia!
11:23 AM 路 May 16, 2021Sunset shot coming west out of Whiterun.
11:24 AM 路 May 16, 2021Another sunset shot, centered on this fort (I still don’t know what it’s called) west of Whiterun.
11:24 AM 路 May 16, 2021Auroras! Also from the bit of wandering that got reset by character death.
11:25 AM 路 May 16, 2021Auroras, with bonus moon and Lydia, shot the first.
11:26 AM 路 May 16, 2021Auroras, with bonus moon and Lydia, shot the second.
11:26 AM 路 May 16, 2021Clear starry night over the trees.
11:27 AM 路 May 16, 2021An Alarrah shot! This is Alarrah in her newly furnished home in Whiterun, near the cooking pit in the kitchen in front. Also after trying on the clothes I discovered in the dresser once I got the bedroom actually furnished up. It’s weird to see her not in armor!
11:27 AM 路 May 16, 2021Alarrah in armor, on the ramparts of Dragonsreach. Wanted this shot to get an idea of what she looks like now that I’ve started finding elven armor. If I get the helmet she’s going to look like she stepped out of Lord of the Rings! Which must be deliberate design, I feel.
