In Which Kendis Finds Nettlebane and Renews the Gildergreen
Double-session Kendis post, to clear out the queue! Main action here, running the Blessings of Nature quest and getting the Gildergreen renewed. But a side helping of journal recovery, zombie fighting, and finally getting a steward for Goldenhills Plantation.

In Which Harrowhark Gains a Sapling and a New Companion
This was a long, busy session in which quite a bit happened: going to Falkreath and getting in good with the Jarl by killing a bandit chieftain for him; clearing out zombies at a ritual site; getting Nettlebane, and then later, acquiring a sapling to replace the ailing Gildergreen; finishing out the furnishing of Breezehome; getting Vilja some help with her mysterious bottle; and last but not least, picking up a new follower, Lucien!
This is a big post with a lot of commentary and a lot of screenshots. Because not only did I find Lucien and try him out as a follower, I also actively decided against keeping Vilja, because she annoys the fuck out of me.

In Which Skyrim Together is Slightly Less Weird This Time
I know all my posting love has been going to Elder Scrolls Online and my primary Skyrim playthroughs, but we are still periodically doing Skyrim Together when time permits! Last night, Dara, Mel, and I had our next STR session. So let’s return to the hapless adventures of our trio of Dragonborns in the Skyrim AU where the laws of physics are often on vacation, where weather can change at a moment’s notice, and where the newly slain can come back to life without a single necromancer involved.

In Which Shenner Acquires Azura’s Star and a Daughter
Y’know how I said at the tail end of Shenner’s last post that I was probably going to do something either in the Reach in general or Markarth in particular? Looks like the winds of whim dictated otherwise, because what I wound up doing instead was running the Blessings of Nature and Black Star plots, both of which are familiar territory, but which I had yet to do with this alt. Also did some fishing–and adopted Lucia from Whiterun as my first adopted child!

In Which Faanshi Restores the Gildergreen and Infiltrates Goldenglow Estate
Finally got Faanshi to a point where she can summon a dremora lord! So maybe I’ll be able to stay on Master Difficulty! And once I did that, I proceeded to restore the Gildergreen in Whiterun, and then go infiltrate Goldenglow Estate for the Thieves Guild.
This session was run on Friday 5/27.

In Which Ysani Restores the Gildergreen and Adopts a Dog
This was a lower-key session, in which I took care of several small side items, as well general building at both Lakeview and Windstad. Main things accomplished: clearing High Gate Ruins, taking out the dragon at Skyborn Altar for a bounty, and helping Danica Pure-Spring with the Gildergreen in Whiterun.
(This post is for the play session done on Wednesday 2/23. Thursday 2/24’s post will be forthcoming shortly!)

In Which Delga Becomes Thane of Riften
High amount of things accomplished this session! Got Nettlebane and brought Danica Pure-Spring a sapling of Eldergleam. Cleared Ustengrav, and discovered some mysterious party had made off with the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller (ohnoez WHO COULD IT BE). Got Noster One-Eye in Solitude his missing helmet. Got enough ingredients to go finish up Balimund’s quest and a bonus, enough ice wraith teeth for Marise. So I was able to eventually buy Honeyside, and become Thane of Riften!
I started the Bards College quest, just to get the skill bumps off of that. And parked myself at Forsaken Cave to do the White Phial retrieval.

In Which Delga Visits Falkreath and Clears Embershard Mine of Bandits
In this session the biggest thing I learned was that Delga is not yet ready to deal with hagravens! So instead, I decided to go get set up for becoming thane in Falkreath. Which meant clearing out Embershard Mine!

In Which Merawen Joins the Dawnguard and Seeks Azura’s Star
Anybody reading my recent updates and going “gee Anna, you’re sure bouncing Merawen around through the various major faction plotlines” is absolutely correct. Because I am!
Part of this has to do with my previous commentary re: a) wanting to re-do the big plotlines that I had fun with before, and b) wanting to see if I can run Dawnguard and Dragonborn before I finally go for Alduin. But a new wrinkle in this is also that I’ve been running Merawen with the difficulty kicked up another notch, from “Novice” to “Apprentice”. Earlier in her run this wasn’t having a significant impact, but now that I’m up to level 30 I think I’m starting to feel it.
Hence, bouncing around through various plotlines, trying to see which ones I can finish, and which ones provide me the means to move other ones along.
More specific details, as always, behind the fold!

In Which the Dragonborn Gets Nettlebane and Has to Fight Bandits at Her Own Damn House
Last night’s run broke down into two overall categories:
- Getting the artifact dagger called Nettlebane, in the quest The Blessings of Nature, to help the priestess Danica Pure-Spring in Whiterun, and
- Doing some building work at Windstad Manor and getting jumped by bandits on my own goddamn front porch. BOOOOO.
