In Which Ysani Works Her Way Towards Markarth
I was in the mood to go overland from Riften to Markarth, and knock down several side quests on the way to getting to Calcelmo and doing the next phase of the Thieves Guild plot. This let me finish off not one, not two, but three different side quests! So a productive and action-filled little session.

In Which Ysani Discovers the Guildmaster’s Treachery
Main feature of this session was running Snow Veil Sanctum, a critical part of the Thieves Guild’s main plot! But I also did some side questing, and discovered to my surprise that apparently it’s possible to get Shavari—the Thalmor agent you fight during the main quest—to send hired thugs after you even before you meet her.

In Which Ysani Does Assorted Side Quests
In this session I took a break from the main Thieves Guild plots and did a bunch of side quests instead. Mostly because I wanted to build up a gold balance, so I could get in some training, work on improving Iona’s gear, and get more building and crafting materials.
We’ll return to the Thieves Guild action shortly!

In Which Ysani Sabotages a Mead Tasting and Commits Thievery in Solitude
This session was all about the Thieves Guild action, primarily main plot stuff, but also a little side action as well! And I’m getting far enough along on the main Guild plot to get to the really fun stuff.

In Which Ysani Quests through Folgunthur and Speaks to Maven About a Job
Short session, since this was a work night. Main action was running the Folgunthur dungeon, fighting my first Ancient Dragon of this run, and meeting Maven Black-Briar about a special job she wants done by the Thieves Guild!

In Which Ysani Begins Work for the Thieves Guild
With this session, I get the Thieves Guild’s plotline underway in earnest! And set some beehives on fire, and filch an incriminating bill of sale!

In Which Ysani Seeks Words of Power and Entry Among Thieves
And now we shift tone in this run from College of Winterhold to Thieves Guild. Which is a very distinct tonal and moral shift, and I have some thoughts about how Ysani is approaching this! How do you go from taking over the College of Winterhold to running off to join the Thieves Guild in Riften? And why?
Answer: because Ysani’s hellbent on fucking up the Thalmor as much as possible, and the Thieves Guild are going to help her do it. Plus, she rather likes the mages at this point and wants to keep them out of this if she can.

In Which Ysani Becomes Arch-Mage of the College of Winterhold
Et voilà, the conclusion of the mage college plot! With a side helping of the usual crafting and selling, a bit of training, progress on a couple of mage college side plots, and the inevitable surprise dragon.

In Which Ysani Quests for the College of Winterhold
And here’s the post for Sunday’s play! Main highlights here: finishing running Mzulft, and returning to the college to witness Ancano making his play for the Eye of Magnus, the death of the Arch-Mage, and the attack of magical anomalies on Winterhold.
Also of note: why it’s bad for your housecarl to piss off the Master Wizard of the mage college you’re a member of.

In Which Ysani Quests for the Bards College
Primary point of this session was doing the instrument finding quests for the Bards College, and getting the resulting skill bumps from them! And I began running Mzulft for the mage college plot.
(Also, this is not actually yesterday’s session–this is the session from Saturday. I never did put up this post yesterday, because of being out for a good chunk of the afternoon running errands. The post for yesterday’s play is forthcoming!)
