This was a very busy session! Ran the Interception quest, which let me aid the Remnants from Hammerfell; found divine relics at Four Skull Lookout, only to discover they didn’t consider me worthy; and slew Evethra, the mad blacksmith, from whose journal I learned how to forge amber and madness items.
And a side helping of two different dragons slain, fire salts and nirnroot dropped off, and shrines visited!
Highly entertaining session, focused entirely on the conclusion of the Balance of Power and Restoring Order quests, which let me finish up the Saints and Seducers content provided in the Anniversary Edition. Took this all the way through to the epilogue as well.
I had not planned to visit the Temple of Dibella during this run, or to do their Heart of Dibella quest, but events conspired otherwise! Because one of the side quests for the Dawnguard pointed me at one of the temple priestesses as a lead on finding a vampire–and I couldn’t get at her without doing the Heart of Dibella quest. But it was a new thing, so that was fun!
Also, there was more vampire hunting. And severe chastising of bandits who attacked me at Lakeview.
And, sadly, the loss of the blacksmith Ghorza in Markarth, killed by the Traveler NPC vampire. RIP Ghorza! 😢
This was a short session, partly because “work night” and partly because every so often I do in fact need to do Adulting type things, like pay bills!
(Also, there was a new What If…? to watch, which was highly entertaining, and I don’t want to try to game during MCU-related TV!)
Two overall goals to last night’s game:
- Finding the Forgemaster’s Fingers and bringing them to the orc stronghold who asked for them
- Going to Winterhold to join the mage college there
