This was a huge eventful session, in which I did a great deal of things initially in an attempt to get Vilja killed off. But she kept doggedly holding her own in battle! So i finally punted to a backup plan, which resulted in the dismissal of all of Harrow’s followers–but also in her becoming infected with Sanguinare Vampiris, and fleeing her party’s company rather than risk endangering them. So now she’s run off to join the Thieves Guild in Riften…
But her disease has run its course. And now she’s a vampire.
This post is enormous, since a lot of things happened in it. You may want to grab a snack or a drink before you settle in with this one!
Ran Snow Veil Sanctum in this session, which got me to the big dramatic cutscene between Karliah and Mercer “Murderous Lying Bastard” Frey! And in the meantime, I also started Katria’s plot, bought Vlindrel Hall, and became Thane of the Reach.
Very eventful session, in which Shenner killed not one, not two, but three dragons, and finished a total of three Daedric quests! Most notably: I have Dawnbreaker. \0/
This was a big, busy session! Major action here: becoming thane of Falkreath, clearing Embershard Mine, running the Ill Met By Moonlight plot (Hircine’s Daedric quest), and buying Breezehome in Whiterun!
Mostly this session was about quests not related to major plots, since I wanted to whittle down the list of miscellaneous things stacked up in my journal. But I did finally run the Ill Met By Moonlight Daedric quest, since it was safe for me to do so. And I took out the named dragon Vuljotnaak, and the dragon priest Volsung!
This session‘s preliminary action was visiting Ragnvald, to fight the dragon priest there and get its Shout word, and doing the same at Shearpoint because I wanted that Throw Voice Shout!
Main action saw me return to the main plot for a little while, because I decided it was high time that I go pay a call on the Thalmor Embassy! Proceeded through the recovery of Esbern from Riften, and getting Delphine and Esbern setting out for Sky Haven Temple.
Last night’s goal was predominantly “see how many people of Falkreath I can help so as to become Thane”. This wound up leading me to four different overall themes for the evening, only one of which actually ticked an item off the “Assist the people of Falkreath” quest:
- Killing a giant southwest of Whiterun’s western watchtower to fulfill a Falkreath bounty
- Investigating why a party of hunters went missing
- Discovering that the death of a little girl in Falkreath was at the hands of a werewolf—who was cursed by the Daedric Prince Hircine
- Killing yet more bandits to fulfill another Falkreath bounty
