In Which Elessir Destroys the Summerset Shadows
I have a couple more sessions of Elessir’s to get caught up on after this one, which was from the beginning of February. This is a super short post, featuring taking out the Summerset Shadows at Uttering Hills Cave, and taking out Nahagliiv in Rorikstead.

In Which Elessir Defeats Lord Harkon
And now, finally, it’s time to swing back around to Skyrim posts, to get caught up on the playthroughs I still have in progress on that game even if ESO’s mostly eaten my brain this year.
So here’s a post to get caught up with Elessir’s playthrough. Main action here is finishing up the Dawnguard questline with him, with extra side commentary this time just because I’m running the Serana Dialogue Edit mod in this run.

In Which Elessir Recovers a Third Elder Scroll and Confronts Alduin
Slowly closing in on the end of my 2023 catchup posts! This one is back to Elessir’s Skyrim playthrough.
Main action here is finishing up in Blackreach, and discovering to my chagrin that I’d left Septimus’ Lexicon behind when I left with the Elder Scroll; retrieving the Lexicon, taking it back to Septimus, and meeting Hermaeus Mora; confronting Alduin for the first time on the Throat of the World; and running Ancestor Glade to discover the location of Auriel’s Bow.

In Which Elessir Investigates Serpent’s Trail and Alftand
More mid-December Skyrim catchup, this time with Elessir’s run. This is a short post, and mostly just features my first taste of the content provided by the Beyond Skyrim: Bruma mod, since I visited Serpent’s Trail on a quest for a Dawnguard schematic.
But I did also move the main plot along, and made it down into Blackreach to find the Elder Scroll there.

In Which Elessir Explores the Soul Cairn
While I’m waiting for the RaceMenu mod to update itself again following the latest Skyrim update, I’m taking the time to get caught up on the backlog of posts. So here’s another Skyrim catchup post from mid-December, this time in Elessir’s playthrough. This is moving the Dawnguard questline along, and in particular, the Soul Cairn!

In Which Finds-The-Way Finally Finds the Dark Brotherhood
I have fallen behind on my playthrough posts again, in no small part because I’ve been in a headspace where I’ve been way more interested in just straight up playing. But I have continued to take notes for blog fodder! So here’s some catchup dating from mid-December. This is the Skyrim session in which Finds-The-Way finally gets to encounter the Dark Brotherhood. ‘Bout goddamned time, says Finds!
And there’s Thieves Guild action in there too, and the obligatory German language geekery.

In Which Finds-The-Way Finds an Oblivion Gate
Keeping this post to a single session, just because Finds-The-Way’s posts get longer than average from language geekery!
Main action in this one, though, was running the rest of The Cause. I’ve done that a few times now so nothing terribly new about that. So this post will mostly be language geekery!
-
In Which Elessir Rescues a Vampire and a Moth Priest
Time to check back in with my Elessir playthrough in Skyrim! With this post and its two sessions, I’m finally kicking off Dawnguard with this alt. Read on for the details!

In Which Finds-The-Way Raids the Thalmor Embassy and Visits Alduin’s Wall
Closing in on the home stretch, I’m almost caught up on all my playthrough posts, y’all! Here’s the most recent one for Finds-The-Way, and this’ll be a short-ish one. This is mostly all Main Quest stuff, which I’ve covered in depth on earlier playthroughs. So most of the content here will be German language geekery. But a little side action with buggy dog adoption!
Main action covered: raiding the Thalmor Embassy, rescuing Esbern from the Ratway, meeting Delphine and Esbern at Karthspire and running Sky Haven Temple, and running the Crypt of the Heart quest.

In Which Elessir Opens an Oblivion Gate and Joins the Dawnguard
Short-ish post for Elessir’s Skyrim run, just because nothing terribly new here. But I do as always have some commentary!
Main action here: finishing running The Cause; getting the Gray Cowl of Nocturnal and the sword Bloodthirst; a bit of Thieves Guild shenanigans; and finally joining the Dawnguard.
