• Elessir Playthrough,  Skyrim

In Which Elessir Becomes Arch-Mage of the College of Winterhold

Swinging back around to Skyrim, and Elessir’s run in particular. Main action here: finishing up getting instruments for the Bards College; investigating what happened to the family in Frostflow Lighthouse; claiming Goldenhills Plantation; and doing a hard push through the rest of the College of Winterhold plot, running Mzulft and Labyrinthian, and then returning to the college for the finale.

  • Harrowhark Playthrough,  Skyrim

In Which Harrowhark Joins the Dark Brotherhood

Finally hit the sessions wherein Harrow does, in fact, officially join the Dark Brotherhood. Coming into this a little antsy, but we’ll see how running the Dark Brotherhood for Good Guys mod impacts this!

Also featured in this post: having to do an additional mod install to fix a lingering bug from running Forgotten City; beginning work in Riften to get set up as thane there; also beginning the Fishing plotlines; running the Forsworn Conspiracy; and moving Thieves Guild action further along finally, by reaching the plot of getting Markarth’s special job queued up.

  • Harrowhark Playthrough,  Skyrim

In Which Harrowhark Becomes a Thief–and a Vampire

This was a huge eventful session, in which I did a great deal of things initially in an attempt to get Vilja killed off. But she kept doggedly holding her own in battle! So i finally punted to a backup plan, which resulted in the dismissal of all of Harrow’s followers–but also in her becoming infected with Sanguinare Vampiris, and fleeing her party’s company rather than risk endangering them. So now she’s run off to join the Thieves Guild in Riften…

But her disease has run its course. And now she’s a vampire.

This post is enormous, since a lot of things happened in it. You may want to grab a snack or a drink before you settle in with this one!

  • Skyrim,  Skyrim Together Playthrough

In Which Skyrim Together is Slightly Less Weird This Time

I know all my posting love has been going to Elder Scrolls Online and my primary Skyrim playthroughs, but we are still periodically doing Skyrim Together when time permits! Last night, Dara, Mel, and I had our next STR session. So let’s return to the hapless adventures of our trio of Dragonborns in the Skyrim AU where the laws of physics are often on vacation, where weather can change at a moment’s notice, and where the newly slain can come back to life without a single necromancer involved.

  • Shenner Playthrough

In Which Shenner Defeats a Forsworn Fugitive, a Bandit Chief, and a Giant

Main action in this session was finally resolving the Bones for a Crow quest, as well as the quest A Dying Wish. These sent me to Arcwind Point to finally slay the Forsworn fugitive Crowstooth, and also gain the gratitude of Rulnik Wind-Strider for saving his life, which now makes him available to me as a follower. Also, I ran a couple of bounties, and have Windstad Manor in progress!

  • Merawen Playthrough

In Which Merawen Joins the Dawnguard and Seeks Azura’s Star

Anybody reading my recent updates and going “gee Anna, you’re sure bouncing Merawen around through the various major faction plotlines” is absolutely correct. Because I am!

Part of this has to do with my previous commentary re: a) wanting to re-do the big plotlines that I had fun with before, and b) wanting to see if I can run Dawnguard and Dragonborn before I finally go for Alduin. But a new wrinkle in this is also that I’ve been running Merawen with the difficulty kicked up another notch, from “Novice” to “Apprentice”. Earlier in her run this wasn’t having a significant impact, but now that I’m up to level 30 I think I’m starting to feel it.

Hence, bouncing around through various plotlines, trying to see which ones I can finish, and which ones provide me the means to move other ones along.

More specific details, as always, behind the fold!
