• Kendeshel Playthrough,  Skyrim

In Which Kendeshel Acquires Dawnbreaker and the Masque of Clavicus Vile

As has become standard in the early stages of my Skyrim playthroughs, I did the double header of running A Daedra’s Best Friend parallel with The Break of Dawn. Because Barbas is just too damned useful when it comes to going after Malkoran!

Also, I ran Robber’s Gorge, took out the bandit Peladius at Dragon Bridge, claimed Hendraheim as a house, took out Kematu and his warriors to resolve the In My Time of Need quest, worked on building out the farm at Goldenhills Plantation, and got Noster Eagle-Eye his helmet back.

  • Finds-The-Way Playthrough,  Skyrim

In Which Finds-The-Way Joins the Bards College and Stops a Summoning

Catching up with my Argonian character Finds-The-Way in my German Skyrim run. Main action: getting Goldenhills Plantation, joining the Bards College, recovering Noster Eagle-Eye’s helmet, running Dead Men’s Respite, running the Over the Edge plot at Dragon Bridge, reinstating the Burning of King Olaf Festival, stopping the Potema ritual in Wolfskull Cave, and getting the Wabbajack.

  • Elessir Playthrough,  Skyrim

In Which Elessir Speaks to the Greybeards and Cleanses Meridia’s Temple

Four sessions covered in this one, this is a big post!

Lots of early playthrough action for Elessir’s run, with the main highlights being running the In My Time of Need plot (in favor of Kematu); acquiring the Bow of Shadows; acquiring and furnishing Breezehome; going to High Hrothgar and speaking to the Greybeards; running Shroud Hearth Barrow; picking up Lucien as my second follower; investigating the zombie ritual site (and triggering the subsequent random zombie hordes); acquiring Hendraheim; running the Daedra’s Best Friend plot; and last but certainly not least, running Kilkreath Temple to get Dawnbreaker.

  • Finds-The-Way Playthrough,  Skyrim

In Which Finds-The-Way Becomes Thane of Falkreath

And now to check in with my Argonian Finds-The-Way, and her Skyrim playthrough in German, where every noun is longer. Especially the ones involving gauntlets.

Main action: running the In My Time of Need plot, in favor of Kematu; getting the Silver Armor for Lydia, and later replacing it with the Daedric Plate; furnishing the rest of Breezehome; going to High Hrothgar to speak to the Greybeards; fighting my first Dragonborn cultists; running Shroud Hearth Barrow; beginning the Daedra’s Best Friend quest; becoming thane in Falkreath; beginning the building of Lakeview Manor; acquiring Hendraheim; and killing a whole passel of bandits.

(Yep, there’s a lot in this post! And a lot of language commentary, in particular.)

  • Kendis Playthrough,  Skyrim

In Which Kendis Slays a Cannibal, Acquires Mehrunes’ Razor, and Quests for Mara

Three session post, which has Kendis questing all over the damn place and working on a bunch of side quests. But I’ve also got a bunch of commentary here about glitches, because the last couple of Kendis sessions have been unusually buggy in my Skyrim experience–and given how buggy Skyrim has been for me during all my playthroughs, that’s saying something.

  • Harrowhark Playthrough,  Skyrim

In Which Harrowhark Visits the Forgotten City

All of my Skyrim posts are spoiler-laden by definition. But this one has a particularly high volume of spoilers, because in the two sessions covered here, I talk about running the plot for the Forgotten City mod. If you haven’t ever played this mod and think you might want to, and if having spoilers in advance would wreck your ability to enjoy the mod, I strongly recommend you bookmark this post and come back to it later.

If you want a short spoiler-free review, check this post instead. (And if you’re reading this post directly on Dreamwidth instead of on the main Anna Plays Skyrim site, here’s the direct Dreamwidth version of the spoiler-free post.)

And now, let’s talk about the Forgotten City! With a side helping of getting the swords Bloodthirst and Red Eagle’s Bane, killing a dragon at Fort Greymoor, and seeing a herd of wild horses. <3

This post is very long, because I have a lot to say about the mod. Brace for verbosity!

  • Kendis Playthrough,  Skyrim

In Which Kendis Slays Silver Hands and Seeks the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller

Another double session post. Major action here: going to Morthal, which took about all of the first session because Survival Mode; nearly freezing my pants off in Morthal, again because Survival Mode; claiming Myrwatch for desperately needed easy access to shelter; running Ustengrav; and last but not least, learning that Kodlak has a special task for me!

  • Kendis Playthrough,  Skyrim

In Which Kendis Gains a Thaneship and Dawnbreaker

If you’re looking at this post going “hey, didn’t Harrowhark also just get the thaneship of Falkreath, and Lakeview Manor, and the Masque of Clavicus Vile?”, you are correct. This is kind of what happens when you’re doing two parallel playthroughs, it’s very easy for them to fall into similar patterns!

Aside from those two things, though, I also raided Faldar’s Tooth and actually saw more of that particular bandit hideout than I ever had done before, so that was cool!
