• Kendeshel Playthrough,  Skyrim

    Fic: Repentance and Resolve

This is the second scene inspired by my recent play of the Project AHO plot in my Kendeshel Skyrim playthrough. Events here are specifically inspired by running the main Skyrim plot The Blessings of Nature, and doing the version of it where I agree to let Maurice Jondrelle accompany me to the Eldergleam Sanctuary.

But on the way through Mixwater Mill again, I spotted the same character whose encounter with you sparks off the Project AHO plot–now back in the very same place.

And suffice to say, my Dragonborn had some opinions about this. So this scene is the result. It’s more detailed than the game allowed me to play, but it is my official headcanon for how seeing that character again went. And I’m also accounting for Kendeshel’s mindset in the aftermath of Project AHO’s events, and how that ties in with my ongoing play of Legacy of the Dragonborn, too.

So here we go, a fic called “Repentance and Resolve”. 4,272 words. The playthrough post this goes will be my next official Kendeshel post!

  • Kendeshel Playthrough,  Skyrim

In Which Kendeshel is Kidnapped and Sold into Slavery

This Kendeshel post covers my getting Runil’s journal for him out of Sunderstone Gorge, getting the thaneship in Falkreath, starting the building of Lakeview Manor, meeting Delphine in Riverwood, and getting on the road with her to go to Kynesgrove and kill Sahloknir…

At which point the plotline for the Project AHO mod kicked in. This post will include major spoilers for that mod in particular, so please be advised. If you think you might want to run this mod but don’t want the spoilers for it, please have a look at my Review of Project AHO mod (non-spoiler version) post.

Some minor spoilers as well for Legacy of the Dragonborn. Brief mentions of actions for the Book of Wonders quest, as well as changes I noted with the progression of the storyline in general, and certain tweaks the mod makes to AE Skyrim content.

  • Elessir Playthrough,  Skyrim

In Which Elessir Saves the Gildergreen and Joins the College of Winterhold

Since I’m running three different playthroughs concurrently right now, I decided I don’t want Elessir and Finds-The-Way doing the exact same things. So while Elessir will be headed eventually for the Thieves Guild, Finds is running that right now. So Elessir’s heading to the College of Winterhold!

Also featured in this post: saving the Gildergreen, and getting a swanky new set of armor.

  • Finds-The-Way Playthrough,  Skyrim

In Which Finds-The-Way Slays Sahloknir and Joins the Thieves Guild

A three-session post, just to clear my queue! Primary action here is slaying Sahloknir at Kynesgrove, and also joining the Thieves Guild! With a bunch of side action involving bear hunting, getting the plot started at Largashbur, raiding Lost Valley Redoubt for the Word of Power there, and finding out where the location is for some of the Anniversary Edition content I haven’t actually run yet.

  • Elessir Playthrough,  Skyrim

In Which Elessir Defeats the Wolf Queen, and the Dragon Sahloknir

Second of two Elessir posts I wanted to do today, to get caught up on his run. Main action here: retrieving a helmet from Rimerock Burrow; interrupting a necromantic ritual at Wolfskull Cave; going with Delphine to Kynesgrove and defeating the dragon Sahloknir; returning to Solitude and defeating the undead Potema in her catacombs; and taking her husband’s hunting horn to a Shrine of Talos at the request of Elisif.

  • Harrowhark Playthrough,  Skyrim

In Which Harrowhark Gains a Sapling and a New Companion

This was a long, busy session in which quite a bit happened: going to Falkreath and getting in good with the Jarl by killing a bandit chieftain for him; clearing out zombies at a ritual site; getting Nettlebane, and then later, acquiring a sapling to replace the ailing Gildergreen; finishing out the furnishing of Breezehome; getting Vilja some help with her mysterious bottle; and last but not least, picking up a new follower, Lucien!

This is a big post with a lot of commentary and a lot of screenshots. Because not only did I find Lucien and try him out as a follower, I also actively decided against keeping Vilja, because she annoys the fuck out of me.
