In Which Elessir Defeats the Wolf Queen, and the Dragon Sahloknir
Second of two Elessir posts I wanted to do today, to get caught up on his run. Main action here: retrieving a helmet from Rimerock Burrow; interrupting a necromantic ritual at Wolfskull Cave; going with Delphine to Kynesgrove and defeating the dragon Sahloknir; returning to Solitude and defeating the undead Potema in her catacombs; and taking her husband’s hunting horn to a Shrine of Talos at the request of Elisif.

In Which Kendis Becomes Thane of Haafingar and Fights the Mythic Dawn
Time for catchup with Kendis in Skyrim! Main action in this post: clearing Sunderstone Gorge; defeating the ghost of Potema in the Solitude catacombs; getting the Wabbajack; killing Crowstooth at Arcwind Point; questing through Varlais Cavern and then Red Scar Cavern, and triggering the Oblivion gate; questing in the Deadlands; saving Malborn from assassination; initial action to get the thaneship in the Reach; and lots and lots and lots of fishing.

In Which Harrowhark Becomes Thane of Haafingar
Big Bards College action all over this pair of sessions, as I proceeded through Flute, Poetic Edda, and into Lute studies, as well as discovering how the spellsongs and general performance powers work. Meanwhile, I finished off Potema and bought Proudspire Manor, which let me become thane in Haafingar!
-
In Which Faanshi Become Thane of Haafingar
Short session, therefore short post! Main highlights: defeating the Wolf Queen Potema in the catacombs, and then officially becoming thane of Haafingar.
-
In Which Ysani Defeats the Wolf Queen and Becomes Thane of Haafingar
By contrast to the last couple of sessions, this one was very action-packed! Not only did I get Potema settled, I also achieved the thaneship of Haafingar.
And got the Wabbajack on the side. And the 22nd and 23rd Stones of Barenziah!
-
In Which Delga Becomes Thane of Haafingar
This session saw the conclusion of the Potema plot, and my officially becoming one of Elisif’s thanes in Solitude! With a side helping of battling necromancers at Fort Snowhawk.
-
In Which Merawen Defeats the Wolf Queen for Solitude
This session was pretty much entirely driven by wanting to whittle down the side quests, for the Guild and otherwise–and also by realizing that holy crap, I have about 25,000 gold, that’s enough to buy Proudspire, maybe I should go get Elisif to make me her thane?
So I did the plot to defeat Potema the Wolf Queen and keep her from being resurrected. Also moved the Forbidden Legends quest along, and did a whole bunch of thievery and other side quests as well.
Also, pro tip: try to avoid reading scrolls that will set you and nearby enemies on fire, if you don’t also want to set your housecarl on fire and piss her off. JUST SAYING.

In Which the Wolf Queen Turns Out to Not Be Too Big a Problem, Really
Picked up where I left off last night, in the middle of infiltrating the catacombs under Solitude to get to the spirit of Potema, the so-called Wolf Queen, and take her out before she could finish resurrecting herself and start rampaging across Skyrim.
And while this certainly was a fun quest, ultimately I didn’t find it as difficult as others—say, taking out Malkoran during The Break of Dawn.
Details behind the fold!

In Which the Dragonborn Follows Up on that Wolf Queen Problem
Highlights of last night’s Skyrim run:
- Taking another crack at Mount Anthor and finding out about the “source of power” there
- Getting a direct request from Elisif the Fair to take her slain husband’s war-horn to a shrine of Talos
- Returning to Solitude to report in on that–only to learn from Falk Firebeard that oh shit Potema’s spirit is still active and loose in the Solitude Catacombs
